The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Thursday, met with the at least five governors of the All Progressives Congress as well as the National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.
The meeting occurred just days after the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), met with the governors at the Council Chambers of the State House on Tuesday before leaving for Madrid, Spain.
Osinbajo was screened by the John Odigie-Oyegun-led committee on Tuesday. He was one of the over 20 aspirants screened for the top Aso Villa job.
Although the identities of the governors were unknown as of press time, our correspondent confirmed that the meeting tok place at the vice president’s office.
The ruling party has been considering a consensus candidate ahead of the presidential primary this weekend.
