Fire has gutted a section of the residence of Akin Ogunbiyi situated in Ileogbo, in the Ayedire Local Government Area of Osun State.
The fire gutted the personal room of the Accord Party’s governorship candidate in the state on Sunday and razed a section of the house before it was put under control.
Ogunbiyi campaign team, in a statement on Monday, confirmed the incident, saying the fire incident consumed everything in the room before it was put out.
The statement added that no casualty was recorded in the incident and no one was suspected of the incident.
“The fire incident occurred at his residence on Sunday. It started from his personal room and consumed everything there before the fire could be put off.
“No life was lost. The cause was not known. No one was suspected,” it said.
Premium Politics had earlier reported that gunmen on Monday attacked the residence of the Labour Party candidate for the July 16 Osun governorship poll, Lasun Yusuf, located in Ilobu, Osun.
