A 90-year-old man, Mustapha Olatunji, has cast his vote in Saturday’s Osun governorship elections.
He said he was impressed with the process being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Olatunji said he had been voting since the time of the late sage and respected national leader, Obafemi Awolowo.
Speaking with newsmen, he said, “I am more than 90 years. I have been voting since the Awolowo era. I am impressed by what I have seen here today.”
He further said he came out to express his franchise because he believed in the democratic process of choosing leaders that will govern the state.
