The Peoples Democratic Party has constituted a 25-member National Reconciliation Committee to address internal conflicts and strengthen party unity.
Chaired by former Osun State governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the committee includes notable party members such as former Gombe State governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo, as secretary, and other prominent figures, according to Leadership.
The committee’s formation follows the party’s National Executive Committee meeting in April, which approved the reconstitution of the Party Disciplinary and Reconciliation Committee to ensure stability.
The PDP National Working Committee has urged all party leaders and members to remain focused and committed to the party’s vision and principles as the committee works to address internal wranglings and defections in various states.
“The NWC charges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the PDP to remain focused and committed to the vision, principles and aspiration of our great Party in the overall interest of the growth, development and stability of the PDP and the nation,” Ologungaba said.
The committee’s inauguration date will be announced soon.
