The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has revealed the details of the stakeholders’ meeting, held by the chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, in Abuja, on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
Disclosing this through his Twitter handle on Saturday, Alhaji Atiku revealed that the meeting was held to examine the state of the nation, while also articulating a pathway forward from the critical crossroads they find themselves.
Premium Politics had earlier reported that Atiku and some other chieftains of the party, converged in Abuja, on Saturday, to hold a stakeholder meeting of the party.
Some of the party leaders who attended the meeting are the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed; Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, and Kefas Agbu of Taraba State, among others.
However, Alhaji Atiku disclosed that he joined some leaders of the party at the meeting, which included his running mate and the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP Governors, and members of the National Working Committee.
“Earlier today, I joined other leaders and stakeholders of our esteemed party, @OfficialPDPNig, including my Vice Presidential candidate, Dr @IAOkowa, Governors, and members of the PDP NWC.
“This meeting provided an opportunity for us to examine the current state of our nation carefully and to thoughtfully articulate a pathway forward from the critical crossroads at which we presently find ourselves,” Atiku tweeted.
