The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 presidential election, Peter Obi, has promised to address Nigerians and the international community shortly.

Obi, who came third in the just concluded presidential election, polling a total of 6,101,533 votes, has remained quiet since the declaration of his counterpart in the All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the President-elect.

However, while his official address is yet underway, his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, is already addressing an international press conference in Abuja.

The former Anambra governor made his intention to address the nation ‘shortly’ via his Twitter handle on Wednesday.

He wrote, “Our Vice presidential candidate Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed is addressing an international press conference at the Labour Party Headquarters in Abuja. I intend to address Nigerians and the international community shortly.”
