The presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso held a stakeholders meeting with the members of the New Nigerian Peoples Party ahead of the coming governorship and state house of assembly elections, slated for next week Saturday, in Nigeria.

 

This was contained in the message, made available through his Twitter handle today.

 

The former governor of Kano commended the party members for thier wonderful performance in the last presidential election and also urged them to put themselves together for the next task ahead.

 

He said, “Ahead of the forthcoming Governorship and State Assembly elections, I led a meeting with the Kano State @OfficialNNPPng stakeholders, last night in Kano.

 

“I commend them for their impressive performance last week, and I urge everyone to stay focused for the task ahead. – RMK.”

 

Dr Kwankwaso, who participated in the last presidential election, as a candidate of the party, lost to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who Polled a score of 8, 794, 724 votes, while he Polled a score of 1, 496,687 votes.

 

However, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Gregory Peter Obi of the Labour Party Polled 6,984,520 votes and 6,101,533 votes, making

them retain second and the third position, in the election, while Kwankwaso came 4th.
