The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the last presidential election, Peter Obi and his running mate Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, have been spotted at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal hearing on Tuesday.
Obi, who had attended a few proceedings of the tribunal, was seen sitting beside Baba-Ahmed, who was attending for the first time, since the hearing started, to follow up on Monday’s proceeding at the tribunal.
Similarly, the immediate past Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo SAN, was also spotted on the floor of the court on Monday.
The former Lagos human rights lawyer, who was in his legal attire, was seen exchanging compliments with his learned colleagues in the legal profession, on the floor of the tribunal.
Keyamo, who was there on behalf of his party, the All Progressives Congress, was also attending the proceeding for the first time since the hearing on the presidential election petition tribunal began.
Peter Obi and his party LP, had approached the court, challenging the credibility of the last presidential election, and the eligibility of the winner of the February 25 election, Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, who were both inaugurated as the 16th elected president and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
