Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and the 2023 Presidtial candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, have arrived Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State, to attend the burial of the late Prelate Emeritus of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Sunday Mbang.
This was disclosed in an online post by a former governor if the state, Udom Emmanuel.
Reports revealed that the duo of Obasanjo and Ob were received at the airport by Emmanuel.
The former governor said Obasanjo was in excellent health and that he was happy that he was able to come down to pay his last respects to his friend, the late Prelate Mbang.
Obasanjo and Obi are expected to attend the funeral service of the late Prelate, which will be held at the Methodist Church Cathedral, 45 Liverpool Road, Eket, on Frida,y August 11, 2023.
The late Prelate, served as President of the World Methodist Council and National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, before his demise.
