The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has described the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, as ‘a snake’, over his role in the just concluded presidential election in Nigeria.
According to Daily Post, Atiku stated this through a statement through his spokesman, Phrank Shaibu, on Friday.
He said, “Wike invited Peter Obi to Port Harcourt under the guise of commissioning projects only for him to work against the same Obi and then goes around to call Obi the hero of the election. This is obviously a shameless man who takes Nigerians for fools.
“Wike is a snake and that is why even after helping Tinubu to a dubious victory in Rivers State, even Tinubu cannot invite him to the dinner table because a snake is not the kind of animal you can invite into your home. Such animals cannot be domesticated.”
It would be recalled that Wike fell off from Atiku’s camp following the conduct of the PDP presidential primary in 2022.
Wike had demanded the resignation of the PDP national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, which did not materialize, causing Wike and his camp to withhold their support for Atiku Abubakar in the presidential election.
