Prompt tax payment’ll aid Kaduna’s transformation – Uba Sani

The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has affirmed that prompt payment of taxes in the state would aid significant transformation in the state.

 

The governor made this statement on Monday as he played host to a delegation of the Federal Inland Revenue Service at the Kaduna State Coordination Office.

 

According to the governor, who shared pictures from the event via his Twitter handle on Tuesday morning, during the meeting, they discussed the seamless cooperation between the FIRS and the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service.

 

Sani, during the meeting also, reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to providing unwavering support to both agencies to enhance their efficiency in tax collection in the state.

 

He wrote, “I had the honor of hosting a courtesy visit from a delegation of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Kaduna State Coordination Office on Monday, July 24th, 2023. The delegation was led by Alhaji Atiku Muhammad Dukku, the State Coordinator/Director for Benue, Kaduna & Plateau.

 

“The seamless cooperation observed between the FIRS and the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) in matters concerning revenue generation, data exchange, among other areas is quite impressive.

 

“We reaffirm our commitment to providing unwavering support to these agencies to enhance their efficiency in tax collection. It is imperative for citizens to fulfill their civic responsibility by promptly paying their taxes, as this will empower the government to effect significant transformations within society.”
