A nursing mother and her baby were reportedly teargassed in Abuja, the nation’s capital, as police dispersed #EndBadGovernance protesters. The protesters are appealing for immediate support, emphasizing their desperate conditions, including hunger.
The nursing mother stated: “They threw 2 tear gas canisters at us and it affected my baby. Do the police want to kill us? We are hungry and we need every Nigerian to come out.”
Protesters are out in droves across the nation to demonstrate against poor governance, hardship, and high cost of living. Protests have been staged in Lagos, Borno, Abuja, and other parts of the country.
