Social media users have reacted positively to the endorsement of the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi by a former Presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Party, Kingsley Moghalu.
Premium Politics recalls that Moghalu resigned from the ADC after he failed to clinch the presidential ticket which he lost in the party’s primary to Dumebi Kachikwu, on June 8.
Kachikwu garnered 977 votes in the primary election of the party that was held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Speaking during a recent interview on Arise TV, Moghalu described Obi’s candidacy as credible and legitimate.
“I think it’s a good thing, it’s a very valid and legitimate candidacy. We have been calling on the young people to get more involved in the future of this country in a forceful way, I think it’s a good development ” he stated.
He also commended the large turnouts of youths in registering for the Permanent Voter’s Card.
Reacting to his Statement, a tweep with the username @Bunda_lurvah said, “Moghalu is a bright man.. he was just being political with the shades.. more people will throw their support behind Peter Obi.. PO needs bright men to work with. Kingsley Moghalu, Chukwuka Monye and others are the future of Nigeria.. they’ll build their rep under PO’s government.”
Another user, @ChijeokeSenior gushed over the fact that Mogbhalu is now ‘OBIdient’ (the name given to Obi’s supporters).
“Watch Kingsley Moghalu endorse Peter Obi’s candidacy. He’s now OBIdient and I’m glad he has decided to walk on the right side of history,” the tweep wrote.
@SirDavidBent added, “Kingsley Moghalu’s endorsement of Peter Obi shows that he’s a bright and intelligent man. Good always recognizes good. I believe that Kingsley and Chukwuka Monye are men that have the best interests of the nation at heart.”
This is just as @Oluwaseyi1919 tweeted, “The man is a very good man and I hope he joins hands with obi to the promised land.”
@U_Jay07 also tweeted, “Kingsley Moghalu has always been a smart and humble man. Peter Obi should bring him close to his campaign and eventually his government. For People who love Nigeria, it’s all hand on deck.”
