Saraki hails Eno, Lawal, others over S’Court victory

Former President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has congratulated Governors of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal and Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, over their Friday victory at the Supreme Court.

Saraki who made this known via a post on his official Twitter handle, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the four governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, on the successful resolution of the election disputes in their respective states.

The governors who have been facing legal battles over the victories recorded at the March 18, 2023 governorship elections in their respective states, got relief following the final judgement by the Supreme Court, which put an end to the legal battles on Friday, January 12, 2024.

“Congratulating them on their successes, Saraki tweeted: I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Governors Umo Eno, (@_PastorUmoEno), Bala Mohammed, (@SenBalaMohammed) Dauda Lawal (@daudalawal_ ) and Caleb Mutfwang (@CalebMutfwang) on the successful resolution of their respective election disputes at the Supreme Court.

“This affirmation of their mandates by the highest court in our land is a testament to the democratic processes that underpin our nation.

“As they continue to lead the great people of Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Zamfara, and Plateau states, I offer them my best wishes for their continued success and dedication to the well-being of their constituents. May their tenure be marked by progress, prosperity, and #powertothepeople!”
