The name of former President Goodluck Jonathan is missing from the list of All Progressives Congress presidential hopefuls to be screened this week.
Recall that in April 2022, supporters stormed Jonathan’s house appealing that he contest the 2023 presidential elections.
“You are calling me to come and declare for the next election. I cannot tell you I’m declaring. The political process is ongoing. Just watch out,” he had told them.
An Almajiri group had purchased APC N100m presidential nomination and Expression of Interest form for Jonathan this month.
The elder statesman has neither come forward to confirm nor refute claims of him running for presidency.
According to The Cable, APC spokesman, Felix Morka revealed that 28 persons picked the forms but three persons did not submit their forms.
They are: Minister of labour, Chris Ngige; Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva; and Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
