The Joint Senate Committee on Finance, Banking, Insurance, and Financial Institutions have commenced an interactive session with the Economic Management Team, including officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria led by Yemi Cardoso.
Recall that, the committee had on January 31 summoned the Central Bank Governor to appear before it.
This comes amid pressing concerns about the state of the economy and the sharp decline of the naira in the foreign exchange market.
The Senate is seeking answers and solutions from the apex bank governor to stabilise the currency and restore confidence in the economy.
