A member of the ruling All Progressives Congress and lawmaker representing Isa-Sabon Birni federal constituency of Sokoto State, at the Federal House of Representatives, Abdulkadir Jelani Danbuga, has reportedly died.
The report of his death was confirmed by a member representing Sabon Birni South constituency at the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Aminu Almustapha (aka Boza).
Almustapha disclosed that the federal lawmaker died around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, after a brief illness.
The late lawmaker was said to have been admitted to hospital around Tuesday due to an undisclosed illness.
“His remains would be taken to the National Mosque for the bathing ritual after which it would be flown to Sokoto for burial around 11 a.m,” Almustapha said.
However, the deceased was said to have left behind, two wives, many children and grandchildren.
