The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has congratulated Senator Opeyemi Bamidele on the ocassion of his 60th birthday.
The Senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District turns 60 on Saturday, July 29.
Speaker Abbas, in a statement issued via his Twitter handle on Friday, hailed the Senator as being committed and patriotic, one who serves his fatherland with diligence and dedication.
He wrote, “I rejoice with the Leader of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele on his 60th birthday.
“The lawmaker is a committed and patriotic Nigerian, who serves his fatherland with diligence and dedication.
“The Senate Leader, who represents Ekiti Central Senatorial District, is a pillar of democracy owing to his contributions to the Legislature over the years.
“I recall Senator Bamidele’s days as a member of the Green Chamber and how he has always distinguished himself among his peers.
“As a lawyer and an activist, Senator Bamidele remains a role model to the younger generation as he has distinguished himself in all his areas of endeavours.
“I wish him many more years in good health and may God Almighty increase him in knowledge and wisdom in the service of Nigeria.”
