President Bola Tinubu has mandated the resignation of Mr. Mamman Ahmadu from his role as the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Bureau of Public Procurement.
This directive aligns with broader efforts to overhaul and enhance the efficiency and transparency of Nigeria’s public procurement system.
The announcement was made through a statement by the presidential spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, on Saturday. The statement emphasized, “This is part of a larger reorganization effort in the public procurement system to reposition the agency for greater efficiency and transparency.”
Following this directive, Ahmadu is instructed to hand over his responsibilities to the most senior officer within the Bureau until a new Director-General is appointed. President Tinubu expressed his gratitude to Ahmadu for his services and extended his best wishes for Ahmadu’s future endeavors.
