President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Friday, held a meeting with one of his key challengers in the February 25 Presidential Election, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Kwankwaso, who came fourth in the election, was the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, polling 1,496,687 votes.
He is the first presidential candidate to visit Tinubu at Aso Rock.
Recall that, the duo met for four hours in Paris, France, last month, although the aim of their discussion remains undisclosed.
The former coordinator of a campaign group of Tinubu, who accompanied the NNPP Presidential Candidate to the meeting in Europe, Abdulmumin Jibrin, joined him to the presidential villa on Friday.
Daily Trust reported that addressing State House correspondents after the meeting, Kwankwaso said he discussed politics and governance with the president.
He also said he might work with Tinubu, but did not go into details.
