President Bola Tinubu officially resumed his duties at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday at about 2.38pm.

According to The Punch, today is his first day in office after his inauguration as President which took place in Eagles Square, Abuja, on May 29, 2023.

At least 40 Heads of State were hosted by the President on Monday afternoon at the Banquet Hall, and he didn’t return to work at his office until today.

Vice President Kashim Shettima and a number of other top government officials, including Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and the Permanent Secretary of the State House Tijjani Umar, greeted the president at the entrance to his office.

Also, present to receive him were the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele; the Group Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari; former Lagos State Commissioners for Finance, Mr Wale Edun; Information, Mr Dele Alake and a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. James Faleke.

President Tinubu will reportedly discuss the impending fuel crisis and the new administration’s monetary policy during his meeting with NNPCL CEO, Kyari and CBN Governor Emefiele later today.
