President Bola Tinubu is currently chairing the Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Tinubu who recently came from his official trip abroad, is presiding over the meeting at the Council Chambers in the State House.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the President is expected to present various issues bordering on the memorandum of understandings and agreements reached during his recent foreign engagements, to the cabinet members, during the meeting.
The FEC meeting is the top advisory body to the President, saddled with the responsibilities of formulating policies, advising on governance issues, and overseeing the implementation of government initiatives.
However, Vice President Kashim Shettima and members of the cabinet are already on the ground, to participate in the meeting.
Similarly, several new permanent secretaries appointed by President Tinubu are fully present, to witness the Monday’s meeting at the Council Chambers.
It would be recalled that the eight newly appointed permanent secretaries were sworn in by the President.
The new appointees are Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo, Adeoye Adeleye Ayodeji, Rimi Nura Abba and Omachi Raymond Omenka.
Others are, Ahmed Dunoma Umar, Watti Tinuke, Bako Deborah Odoh and Ella Nicholas Ag.
The new appointees are to be assigned their various portfolios by the Office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
