President Bola Tinubu has sworn-in Senator George Akume as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday.
Senator Akume took his Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office about 11:06 a.m. within the Villa’s Council Chambers, in front of dignitaries including some serving and former Governors.
Among those who witnessed the ceremony were Vice President Kashim Shettima; Senate President Ahmed Lawan; Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr FolasadeYemi-Esan and wife of the new SGF, Mrs Regina Akume among others.
Premium Politics reported that Akume was appointed the SSG alongside Femi Gbajabiamila who was appointed Chief of Staff to the president.
