A chieftain of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, Daniel Bwala, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for his leadership style as the nation’s leader.
Bwala described Tinubu as a leader who holds loyalty and dedication in the highest esteem.
The PDP chieftain, who was the campaign spokesperson of the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, noted that Tinubu adopts the leadership style of the 16th President of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln.
Lincoln was a politician and lawyer who ruled the US for four years from 1861 to 1865.
In a tweet posted via his X handle on Thursday, Bwala commended Tinubu for adopting the Lincoln style which he said puts the country first in all situations at all times.
Bwala wrote, “He values competence, loyalty and dedication. He looks beyond primordial sentiments, he recognises the difference between politics and collaboration for the good of the country. To him, the country comes first: to every patriot, the country should come first.
“@officialABAT adopts the Abraham Lincoln style of leadership; country first. If you want to understand him, read the book ‘Lincoln on Leadership; Executive Strategies for Tough Times.’”
Bwala had never shied away from expressing his thoughts on Tinubu.
While he still officially remains a PDP member, the PDP chieftain had refuted claims that he was disloyal to his former principal, Abubakar.
“It’s absolute nonsense for somebody to say because I said I will support President Bola Tinubu, therefore, I betrayed Atiku,” Bwala stated in an interview last Sunday.
The former spokesman also expressed his willingness to accept an appointment from Tinubu, should it be offered to him, adding that he would accept an appointment if it contributed to the development of the President’s development agenda.
