The Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Osogbo has sacked Governor Ademola Adeleke as the duly elected governor of the state.
The majority judgement, which was read by the Chairman, Justice Tertse Kume, sacked Adeleke for overvoting in some polling units across the state.
Justice Kume, while delivering a majority decision, declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission did not comply substantially with the constitution and the provisions of the Electoral Act.
He declared that Oyetola won the election, having polled 314, 921, while Adeleke’s score came down to 290, 266.
