A former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri on Thursday, claimed there would have been war in the country if the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, had won the February 25 Presidential election or his petition at the tribunal on Wednesday.

Omokri who made this disclosure while talking about the attitude of the Labour Party supporters via his X handle on Thursday, noted that Obi and his supporters were too arrogant, alleging that they were recreating or would have further recreated the events that led to the Nigerian Civil War.

According to him, the LP supporters did all sorts of things including cyberbullying, name-calling, threatening and harassment of anyone who did not support their candidate.

Omokri who claimed that the Obidients were more fascistic than Mussolini, said anyone who supported any other candidate aside from theirs, was supporting the wrong candidate.

He further stated that they started calling for military intervention, after their candidate lost at the February 25, presidential election.

“If Peter Obi had won the #NigerianElections2023, or at the Presidential Election Petition Court, there would have been a civil war in Nigeria. Not many. Would. Why? Because he and his Obidients were just too arrogant and were already retreating, and would have further recreated the events that led up to the Nigerian Civil War,” he alleged.

He added that Obidients “were more fascistic than Mussolini” while alleging that “after Peter Obi lost, prominent Obidients with direct ties to Peter Obi were openly calling for a military coup to restore Obi’s mandate.”
