Two injured as hoodlums attack Tinubu’s convoy in Lagos

Two journalists were injured as some hoodlums reportedly attacked the convoy of the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, in Lagos State on Sunday.

AIT reported that the incident occurred at the Adeniji end of Isale Eko as the former Lagos governor was heading to his Bourdilon Ikoyi residence from the palace of the Oba of Lagos.

Premium Politics reported that Tinubu returned to Lagos today, exactly 12 days after winning the APC presidential ticket,  defeating the likes of Rotimi Amaechi and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

After a warm welcome at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Ikeja, Tinubu proceeded to the palace of the Oba of Lagos before heading to his Ikoyi residence.

Although there has been no word from Tinubu’s camp or the police on the incident, AIT added that the hoodlums threw stones and other dangerous weapons at the convoy as it drove from the palace.

“Some of them were wielding swords and cutlasses smashing side glasses and front windshields of vehicles that were attached,” the publication said.

However, the two journalists who sustained injuries have received medical attention.
