A Magistrate Court in the United Kingdom has adjourned the organ harvesting case involving former Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Nwanneka, following their appearance on Thursday.
The prosecutor claimed that David Ukpo, who alleged that he was coerced to donate his kidney to the Senator’s daughter, is 15 years old and not 21 years old.
The case was adjourned to July 7 at Westminster Magistrate Court to enable the UK Attorney General, Suella Braverman, determine whether the case will be tried in the country or Nigeria.
PUNCH Metro reports that Ekweremadu and his wife are currently facing charges in the UK over a claim by Ukpo that he is underage, accusing the defendants of coercing him to the UK to donate a kidney for their ailing daughter.
