The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has said that his running mate will be a Christian from the North-East.
Tinubu said this during the APC governorship rally in Ekiti State on Tuesday, according to Daily Post.
He said, “The VP slot belongs to the Northeastern region and particularly the Christians, but consultations are yet ongoing as to who will be decided.”
Tinubu assured Nigerians that no group, institution or person can impose a running mate on him.
This is coming following condemnation trailing APC’s alleged Muslim-Muslim ticket in the coming 2023 general elections.
