We are committed to southwest unity, say Adeleke, Makinde

Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, said on Friday that he and his Osun State counterpart, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, have aligned to foster unity and progress in the Peoples Democratic Party in the South-West zone.

 

He stated this during a courtesy visit on him by Governor Adeleke at the Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan.

 

The Osun State Governor, who just ended a working vacation in Thailand said that his government has also embarked on infrastructural projects as Governor Makinde.

 

Speaking on the visit, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, hinted that, they deliberated on progress of both states as well as the affairs of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the Southwest.

 

Governor Makinde declared that contrary to speculations in the media, he and Adeleke, who he described as brother have aligned ahead of the peace talk within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the south west.

 

Makinde said their meeting centred around the unity and well-being of the PDP and the development of the South-West geopolitical zone.

 

He said: “Like my brother said, we are one. We discussed issues around the unity of our party in the South-West and alignment, and we are aligned. I can assure you that we will do what we are supposed to do.”
