Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led government is committed to saving Nigeria from collapse, no matter the cost.
He made this statement at the opening ceremony of the 17th Annual Banking and Finance Conference in Abuja, organized by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
Shettima emphasized the crucial role of the banking sector in addressing Nigeria’s economic challenges, saying, “We’ll do whatever it takes to salvage the state of Nigeria’s affairs.”
He urged conference stakeholders to leverage the forum to tackle both national and global challenges. His remarks come as Nigerians face high inflation, currently at 33.40%, and a recent petrol price hike from N617 to N897 per litre.
