A former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives and member of the Ekpeye ethnic nationality in Rivers State, Prince Chibudom Nwuche, has said the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is dedicated to the state’s development.
Speaking at his home in Ochigba, Ahoada-East, Nwuche hosted important political figures from the Ekpeye Kingdom, including the state’s chairman of the Ahoada East Local Government Area, Ben Eke.
He said: “His wife, Justice Suzett Wike, is our daughter, and we owe him unalloyed commitment and support. Amongst the landmark projects Wike accomplished in Ekpeye land include the reconstruction and dualisation of the Ahoada/ Omoku road by Julius Berger, the construction of the Ozochi road with bridges by Setraco.
“Others are the construction of the Ogbo/Ihugbogo and Odiemudie roads by Interglobal, and the ongoing reconstruction of the Ahoada Internal roads, the Ekpena road, the Ochigba road, the location of a campus of Rivers State University at Ahoada, Odioku internal roads, reconstruction and expansion of county high school etc, amongst several other projects.”
