Zulum swears in two new commissioners, announces new ministry

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, officiated the swearing-in of two new commissioners at the Government House Council Chamber on Tuesday. The ceremony was marked by the administration of the oath of office and allegiance by Justice Kashim Zannah, the Chief Judge of Borno State.

In his address, Governor Zulum paid tribute to two former commissioners who passed away while in service, expressing condolences to their families and offering prayers for their souls’ eternal rest.

The Governor also took the opportunity to remind the newly sworn-in commissioners of the importance of dedication, commitment, and accountability in their roles. He urged them to work diligently to drive the state toward further progress and development.

Furthermore, Governor Zulum announced the creation of a new Ministry of Fishery and Livestock, which will be overseen by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Usman Umar Kadafur. He also revealed plans to introduce irrigation farming across all three senatorial zones to bolster food security in the state.

Governor Zulum congratulated the new commissioners and wished them success in their new roles.
