The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Ret’d.), had arrived Adamawa State to kick-off the All Progressives Congress governorship campaign and participate in the presidential campaign rally in the state.
The governorship candidate of the APC in the state is Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, popularly known as, Binani and the presidential candidate of the party is Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The president’s presence in the state is expected to quench the presumed dominance of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, as the PDP won Adamawa by a small margin in the 2019 general elections.
It is also worthy to note that the first lady of the federation, Aishat Buhari hails from Adamawa state.
