Northern People Forum and Unit for the Enthronement of Democratic Ideals has warned the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, against inciting the south west against the north adding that he should stop blaming President Muhammadu Buhari.(retd.), and the North for his word.
According to Leadership, the group urged the Presidential Candidate to examine himself to know where he is getting wrong that made some people to be frustrating his ambition to succeed Buhari.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by its national co-ordinator, Bar. Abdulwahab Kabir Magaji, on Tuesday in Kaduna.
In the statement, Magaji warned Tinubu against undermining the existing peace in the country saying it has become necessary to caution him to ease the tension in the country.
He said, “We are using this opportunity to call on our brother, Asiwaju, to cease hostility to the president and the entire North.
“We are calling on him to exercise the required restraint of an elder statesman while pursuing his ambition”.
Magaji stated further that rather than blame the president, the North and the cabal for his woes, it is imperative that Asiwaju should check himself and know what he has not done wrong.
He said, “To us, this will serve him better and when than looking for real and imaginary enemies that don’t exist.
“His plan to incite the south west against the north won’t work rather he should carry his cross by himself and leave the people.”
