The All Progressives Congress has engaged Tunmef Global Limited, a private company, to conduct a nationwide digital membership registration aimed at creating an up-to-date database of party members in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday evening at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, with several key figures in attendance, including the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River, and Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State. Also present were APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje and other top party officials.
Speaking at the event, Governor Uzodimma stressed the importance of adopting technology to modernize the party’s internal processes. He commended President Bola Tinubu for endorsing the initiative, stating, “All over the world, no one is using analogue anymore. It is now the digital economy, digital politics, and digital social order that we are parading globally.”
Uzodimma further noted that the digital registration would ensure an accurate membership count for the party. “If we say we have 10 million members, it must be so. When we cast our votes, we expect our members to turn out in force, driven by ideology,” he added.
