The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, said the Peoples Democratic Party have nothing to worry about the concept of buying voters with money, because the projects his administration had executed this far are enough to ‘buy’ the votes of the voters in the 2023 general elections.
According to Channels TV, Wike said this on Wednesday during the commissioning of the dualised Ahoada-Omoku road in the Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.
The governor said, “When you are talking about vote buying, this is the vote buying; we are using our work for the people to support us. So, people should not bother themselves that people will carry money. We have used Ahoada dualisation and others,”
He, therefore, urged the people of the area to remain steadfast with his administration which has recognized them more than any other in the state.
