Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has described the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the best character and courage to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), in 2023.
According to Daily Post, Wike said he owed nobody an apology for endorsing Tinubu, further expressed his endorsement by wishing the presidential candidate luck in his presidential bid.
Speaking, while receiving Tinubu at the State House, shortly after the APC’s campaign rally in the State yesterday, Wike expressed optimism about his victory in the coming election and also advised him against sponsoring the APC’s governorship candidate in the state.
Wike revealed that the governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress in the State, Tonye Cole stood no chance to win his preferred candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, Siminaliaye Fubura, in the coming gubernatorial election in the State.
He said, “I have no apology to anybody to say nobody born of a woman can intimidate me. You have never changed party one day.
“That tells of your character and courage and that is what we require in this country.
“But let me advise you, don’t spend any more money on your governorship candidate here.”
