Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, on Saturday, welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Nigeria Bar Association Woman Forum at the Government House in Owerri, where he affirmed his commitment to women affairs.
The delegation was led by the Chairperson of the NBAWF, Barrister Chinyere Okorocha. The visit, which coincided with their one-day Mentoring Seminar held in Owerri, provided an opportunity for Governor Uzodimma to reiterate his unwavering commitment to advancing women’s affairs and promotion.
During the meeting, Governor Uzodimma shared insights into the initiatives and policies that have been put in place to support women in Imo State. These initiatives encompass areas such as education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. Emphasizing the importance of equal opportunities for women in society, the Governor underscored the need to eliminate barriers that hinder their progress.
Governor Uzodimma expressed his dedication to fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment for women, recognizing that when women thrive, the entire society prospers. He also expressed his eagerness to continue collaborating closely with the NBAWF to achieve their shared objectives.
The visit by the NBA Woman Forum served as an occasion for Governor Hope Uzodimma to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of women in Imo State.
