Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State arrived at Kogi State on Tuesday, alongside former Senate President Bukola Saraki, to kick-start the governorship campaigns of the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the upcoming November 11 governorship election in the state.
Adeleke announced his arrival in Kogi via a video with the caption: “I just arrived Kogi state for the Campaign flag off of the @OfficialPDPNig candidate, Sen. Dino Melaye @_dinomelaye for the upcoming Kogi State Gubernatorial election,” posted on his X handle on Tuesday, Oct 24, 2023.
It would be recalled that the ruling All Progressive Congress had earlier organised a flag-off campaign for its candidate in the state, Usman Ododo.
However, Governor Adeleke who is the Chairman of the National Campaign Council of the PDP, is in the state alongside some other members of the party, to show support to the Kogi PDP Governorship candidate, Senator Dino Melaye ahead of the coming election.
Melaye and other candidates from various political parties in the state are contesting to wrestle power from the APC, which has presented Usman Ododo as its candidate in the election.
