Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings has called on President Joe Biden to step down as the Democratic Party’s nominee for the upcoming U.S. presidential election.
In an interview with the New York Times, Hastings emphasized the need for Biden to make way for a more dynamic Democratic leader who could effectively challenge the Republican candidate, Donald Trump.
Hastings, known for being a significant Democratic donor, stressed the importance of this move to ensure the party’s continued safety and prosperity.
He stated, “Biden needs to step aside to allow a vigorous Democratic leader to beat Trump and keep us safe and prosperous.”
The upcoming election, set for November 5, will see Biden and Trump facing off once again, marking the first rematch election in the United States in nearly 70 years.
