A former member of the Osun State House of Assembly, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has stated that no amount of political alliance or defection can prevent President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Speaking with journalists on Sunday in Osogbo, Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, dismissed the recent defections of some APC members to other political parties, insisting that such moves pose no threat to the President’s political stability or the party’s dominance.
Describing defection as a normal occurrence in politics, Oyintiloye said it would be a grave miscalculation to assume that the exit of so-called APC members would negatively impact Tinubu’s chances in 2027.
“Take it or leave it, no amount of political gang-up can stop the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027,” he declared.
“Those plotting against him should take time to study the kind of leader he is. He has a winning strategy and is building a network of men and women of goodwill across Nigeria.
“His achievements, political acumen, and deep love for the country will continue to speak for him, both now and in the future. His political opponents will eventually realize their mistake in not supporting him.”
Oyintiloye emphasized that President Tinubu’s track record, influence, resilience, and popularity—which helped him overcome political hurdles in 2023—will once again secure his victory in 2027.
He urged critics to evaluate Tinubu based on his performance and policies, rather than political sentiment.
“Tinubu’s political strength, strong connections, and unwavering resilience saw him triumph in 2023, and they will once again carry him through in 2027,” he added.
However, Oyintiloye advised President Tinubu to increase public engagement and awareness campaigns on his administration’s achievements and future plans.
According to him, this will help Nigerians make informed decisions based on tangible progress rather than political sentiment.
“By effectively communicating the positive impacts of his administration’s initiatives, Nigerians will be able to appreciate the progress made and make the right decisions ahead of 2027,” he added.
