A prominent politician from the First Republic, Tanko Yakasai, has called on Northerners across Nigeria to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking to journalists in Kano on Sunday, Yakasai also expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support and prayers toward the success of the Tinubu-led government.
Yakasai attributed the recent drop in food prices and other essential commodities to the policies and efforts of President Tinubu. He noted that these economic improvements across many parts of the country serve as a beacon of hope, reinforcing the trust that Nigerians have in the administration.
“I have received reports that food prices are gradually dropping. Unlike before, families can now purchase basic food items more easily,” Yakasai stated. He added, “I have been informed that petrol, which recently sold for N1,150 per litre, is now available for about N850 per litre in some areas. This is a positive development that will ease transportation costs and stimulate economic activity.”
Yakasai expressed confidence that the Tinubu administration would continue to introduce more people-oriented policies aimed at advancing the nation’s development.
