Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has restated that the task facing elected officials in the state is service to the people.
Governor Adeleke said this while addressing lawmakers during the inauguration of the 8th Osun State House of Assembly on Tuesday.
He reiterated that personal interest should be relegated to the background while service to the people should be the focal point.
He enjoined the lawmakers to exercise their power for the good of the people.
According to him, “Our task as elected officials is service to the people. We must abandon all personal interest to service public expectations.”
He appealed to the lawmakers to support the 8th Assembly for the continuation of the good governance revolution.
“That goal is only achievable with a supportive Assembly. The exercise of your power for the people and public good is my solicitation,” he added.
