At exactly 9:58 am the Abia governorship election petition tribunal began reading its judgment on the petition against Governor Alex Otti of the Labour Party by the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Chief Okey Ahiwe.
This was after the Counsels to the various parties announced their appearances, and the initial formalities were done.
Vanguard reported that the court premises was filled to its full capacity as everyone listened with keen interest and dead silence except accidental phone ringing, forcing the panel to war against such disorderliness.
Abia LP Chairman, Ceekay Igara; Member representing Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South federal constituency, Hon Ginger Onwusibe (LP), among others were sighted in the court room.
PDP chieftains including former Commissioner for Sports, Barrister Esomonu, Barrister Iroh were also sighted in the court.
