Dr. Olayide Owolabi Adelami has been officially sworn in as the Deputy Governor of Ondo State.
The Chief Judge of the state, Justice Olusegun Odusola presided over the swearing in ceremony held at International Culture and Events Centre, The Dome in Akure.
The State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa in his address emphasized on Dr. Adelami’s exemplary record of service and leadership, expressing confidence in his ability to contribute meaningfully to the state’s progress.
The Ondo State deputy governor’s seat became vacant on December 27, 2023, after Aiyedatiwa was elevated to become the substantive Governor of Ondo State.
Aiyedatiwa’s assumption of office followed the demise of his principal, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who passed on in Germany after a protracted battle with prostate cancer.
