The Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of Tayo Oluwatuyi as the Secretary to the State Government.
This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan on Wednesday.
The statement also added that Aiyedatiwa also approved the appointment of Mr. Abayomi Olasanya as the Chief of Protocol.
The appointments take immediate effect.
“The Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi (Tukana) as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
“The Governor also approved the appointment of Mr. Abayomi Olasanya as the Chief of Protocol.
“Both appointments take immediate effect.”
The governor had earlier nominated a former Clerk at the National Assembly, Dr Olayide Adelami as the Ondo State Deputy Governor.
Adelami is a kinsman of the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu from Owo local government area.
In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, the name of the new deputy governor has been transmitted to the state House of Assembly for approval.
“His nomination will be announced by the House of Assembly later today,” the statement read.
Aiyedatiwa had earlier dissolved the State Executive Council.
