A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Dr. Stephen Agbi, has hailed the victory of Governor-Elect Lucky Aiyedatiwa as a testament to the will of the people.
In a congratulatory message, Agbi described Aiyedatiwa’s landslide victory in the just-concluded Ondo State gubernatorial election as both historic and unprecedented.
He stated, “The people came out on Saturday, November 16, to exercise their franchise and elected a leader they trust and believe in for his good governance agenda.”
Dr. Agbi attributed the governor-elect’s success to his remarkable achievements over the past 11 months, which he said had endeared him to the electorate and secured their overwhelming support.
As the Convener of the Tinubu-Shettima Movement and Director General of the Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement, Agbi commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for its transparent conduct of the election. He also lauded the professionalism displayed by security agencies during the electoral process, ensuring a peaceful and credible exercise.
Agbi called on the people of Ondo State to support the governor-elect’s developmental agenda, emphasizing the importance of collective effort in achieving the dividends of democracy.
He further expressed confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s ability to fulfill his campaign promises, saying, “Governor Aiyedatiwa will honor the promises he made across various towns and villages, fulfilling them to the letter.”
Dr. Agbi, who serves as the Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization, urged the people to unite behind the new administration, highlighting its potential to drive sustainable growth and progress across the state.
