Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Alumni Association has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Ayodele Olawande as the Minister of state for Youth.
According to The Nation, the National President, Oyedokun Abiodun, said the appointment was a testament to the President’s commitment towards youth inclusion.
He noted Olawande’s appointment showed Tinubu was a talent hunter, adding the quality being brought on board suggests conscious national succession plan.
Oyedokun described the appointment as a reward for his efforts in championing the cause of youths, saying Olawande’s appointment as minister of state for Youths has been consented to by youths.
Rector , Dr Temitope Alake said the institution felt honoured with the appointment, describing the development as an episode in the history of the polytechnic.
Alake noted the minister has always been responsible and responsive, adding “he served a notice of who he would become from school”.
