Youth leaders in the All Progressives Congress, on Thursday, visited President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the APC youths were led to the Presidential Villa by the party’s National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel.
During the visit, Tinubu used the avenue, appealing to Nigerians to be patient with his administration as it strives to reposition the nation’s economy.
He noted that he understands the current economic hardship in the country but insists it is a process that is key to achieving greatness.
President Tinubu said “Youths will have their rightful place in his cabinet”.
Recall that, earlier on Thursday, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, had reeled out the names of ministerial nominees as presented by the President through his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Akpabio, during plenary of the Senate read out 28 names, which included former governors and technocrats.
Considering the ages of those on the list, it is yet uncertain how Tinubu hopes to achieve youth inclusion in his cabinet.
